HE WAS SOME DOG!

We found Chunk in the A.A.Co. pound the year we got married (16 years ago!). Our 1st baby boy. He was a little ball of fur, full of kisses, and LOTS of energy!
Chunk was a Border Collie mix, the most intelligent dog I have ever known. He had facial expressions that told just what he was thinking. He LOVED to run. He LOVED the water. He LOVED chicken. He LOVED his FAMILY.

Chunk could "speak" on command, and loved to talk. He was trained to go "potty" at the tree line. He would sit and wait, however long it took, before we would allow him to go to his bowl - no matter what was in it! He would beg for food - by not begging - looking anywhere but at the table, and would turn away quickly, if we caught him looking! He could escape from the house and go for a run around the farm, at the blink of an eye! He would dive off a jetty just to fetch a stick. He would swim out to us in the bay, no matter how far out we were. He loved going out on the boat, and sat like a pro in the canoe or dinghy.

Chunk was protective of us, especially when the kids were babies. He was patient with ALL of us. He survived a powder dusting, and soap crusted tooth brushing, by 3 year old Ashley. He survived toddler Dylan. He had a bladder of steel. He loved to wrestle his Dad, and no matter how viscious the match seemed, at the command, Chunk would "be nice." Everyone who spent any time with him, knew he was special, many loved him. And Chunk had enough love for so many. Their could never be another like him. We will miss him, so very dearly!

THANK YOU, CHUNKY, YOU TRUELY WERE SOME DOG!

I LOVED your blogspot! I was SO SAD to hear about Chunk. I enjoyed seeing him whenever I stopped by there. Will miss his friendly greeting the next time I'm there. Comfort yourselves with what a GREAT LIFE you gave him. Could he have even had a better home to enjoy? I don't think so.

Ephesians 3:14-19

"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen."
