The Ordination of Micah Colbert

Micah was Ordained this past weekend!
He answered over 200 doctrinal questions by a council of his peers on Saturday.
Micah's life verse.
After the council meeting, we enjoyed fellowship with Micah over lunch.
Micah's parents, Rick and Annette, and his Grandmother, Mrs. Mary.

It was truly day of rejoicing!

People in the Big Woods!

Saturday afternoon, we packed up the Mule and went for a ride to the Lake (more like a swamp) in the woods.
We hoped the water would have been frozen enough to walk on, but it was thawing in many spots. When its frozen, you can see the fish and turtles swimming under the ice.

We did see an eagle flying away when we came down the hill, but the kids were a little too loud to see much else. Behind Shawn is a beaver dam. It was pretty cold, so the fire was perfect for warming hands and feet.
Night-night tired puppies. An afternoon in the woods mixed with a bath is just too much for these little guys to take!

Puppies 1st SNOW

All the kids went out for recess in the snow this afternoon. Its so fun to watch the puppies discover new things. They ran around and stuck their noses in the snow.
Shelby (bad girl) didn't want to come back in... wild child!
Toby liked the snow for a long time, but when he started to get cold, he came running to Mom and Dad to get warm. Cuttle bug!
The big kids...(don't want them to get jealous with all the puppy shots!)
Its pretty cold out, the snow's changed to freezing rain, now. I hear we're due for more on Saturday. We'll see!

More Baby Pictures!

We're feeling just like any new parent of twins... tired! These guys keep us busy! Between 3 meals a day, potty breaks every 2-3 hours, exercise, playtime, and training, it really takes the four of us to manage these two little puppies! (Shelby below)
We once thought CHUNK was THE SMARTEST DOG that ever lived. Believe it or not (those of you who knew Chunky) we were wrong! Shelby in her 11 weeks of life has already surpassed the intelligence of all the dogs we have ever known. (Yes we are scared!) She is already potty trained & jumps at the door when she wants to go out. She grabs the leash and walks her "people" where she wants to go...I'll get a pic of this when I can...unreal! She fetches, sits on command, heels, she even watches TV. Shelby knows where ALL food & treats are stored (& could get into them if given the opportunity). She gets into trouble constantly. I'm sure she can read our thoughts already too! (I just can't prove this yet!) (Toby on left, Shelby on right)
Toby is our lover bug. He's very smart too, but tends to follow Shelby's lead. He's a total sweetheart, very gentle natured, and laid back. He reminds us very much of our Chunky. We can see him being very protective, very loyal when he gets older. We love watching them chase each other, wrestle and gang up on Daddy! Its another world having 2 puppies. They get us laughing to tears with their silliness. (Toby below)
He's saying bye bye for now! I know...Awwwww!

Double TROUBLE!

Yes, we're crazy...your not seeing things. There are two. The one on the left is Shelby, and on the right, Toby. (Thanks Uncle Jimmy for his name!)

Happy New Year!

New Year, new family member! Meet Shelby! She's a Sheltie/Border Collie mix. We've been missing Chunk dearly, and had been keeping our ears open for Border Collie mix pups. Shawn's most recent customer has Shelby's brother and gave Shawn the info. to check out the other puppies.
Shelby's already loves DYLAN! He's enjoying being the favorite...for now!
I woke up last night, and remembered that when Chunk was a puppy in the apartment, that he had a Rottweiler girlfriend about a year old. Her name was Shelby! Anyway, it was kinda like getting Chunks approval. Thanks Aunt Sue for the name! It's perfect for her!

Ephesians 3:14-19

"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen."
