Couples Retreat

This years speaker was Dr. & Mrs. Doug Finkbeiner who gave great insight for spouses from the Apostle Paul. The topics were:
1. Remembering the context of a Christian Marriage
2. Communicating more effectively within a Christian Marriage
3. Fulfilling one's responsibilities within a Christian Marriage
4. Protecting the Purity of Christian Marriage.

Shawn and I had a great time getting away and focusing on our love for each other and for Jesus Christ our Savior. This has been our 7th retreat at Camp Calvary in Burnville, PA, and to the Glory of God, our marriage gets sweeter every year.

Lisa and Sam (from our church) taking a turn at Camp Calvary's version of Pictionary.

Joellen, (our pastor's wife), Leah & Drew from our church. Drew & Leah are planning to go on the mission field in the near future!

Feel the LOVE! Hee, Hee!

Uh, Oh...wonder how that got there! :)

Grossology - Science Center Field Trip

Our Home-school group took a tour at the Baltimore Science Center, called Grossology. "The attraction is based on the 'Children's best Selling' book 'Grossology' by Sylvia Branzei. It explores all the slimy, mushy, oozy, scaly and stinky gross (yet scientific) things that occur everyday in the human body. The kids love the 'gross stuff' and us parents like the scientific explanations."

Josh, climbing through the large intestine...yes, that's POO!
This man is up to NO GOOD! He learned that most people pass gas on the average of 14 times per day. All day today, HE'S BEEN COUNTING!

Laura and Amber learing about the Digestive System, and stomach noises!

Shawn & Scott, hanging around picking their noses, again!

Nothing but FRESH BREATH here!

APE'S PLAYING PAINTBALL!

Some "guys" came over this morning to play paintball. This was Ashley's 1st and Dylan's 2nd time playing. Since we had a dusting of SNOW, the fire was perfect for quick warm-ups!

Dylan and his best friends Nick and Josh! Don't ask me how they make a 1 man kayak work for all 3 of them! But then, they did flip!

My best friend, Debi! Although, after posting her picture, she'll probably NEVER speak to me again! LOL

Ephesians 3:14-19

"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen."
