Historic London Town and Gardens!

Historic London Town and Gardens Homeschool Open House was on Thursday. We spent some time walking around the grounds after we checked in. It was located on a beautiful spot on the South River in Edgewater.
The 300 year old, William Brown House, named after the first owner. It was owned by several private landowners.
The South River view from the house. A ferry once crossed the South River and gave access to Annapolis, which served as an interchange, providing a choice of travel to the west, north or east across the Bay.
The National Historic Landmark, was built in 1760. London Town was once Maryland's most important tobacco port and a key player in the transatlantic trade network.
In 1828 the William Brown House was sold to Anne Arundel County and used as a poorhouse until 1965.

Washington D.C. Field Trip

April 10th we headed to Washington D.C. for a field trip to the International Spy Museum and Smithsonian Museums with the home school group.
I loved the Spy Museum! Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to spend in there. Since it was such a crowded day, we've been privileged to get free passes for next year. I can't wait to go back!
The Lord held the rain back and we were blessed with a beautiful, warm day!
It was a great day sent with friends and family!

Random Farm Pictures

We're so thankful for Spring! The cherry blossoms on Bacon Ridge were beautiful as always. This picture was taken in a hurry, so it doesn't do it justice.
Audrey is considering adopting "Yoda." That's all I have to say about that.
Dylan riding and hitting his jumps.
Ashley and her new love, Stormy!
One very happy to girl, to have a horse on the farm at long last!

BFF Reunion!

LONG OVERDUE!
My Jr./Sr. High best friends and I had a reunion!
It amazes me how quickly "LIFE" happens. I haven't seen Laura since he lived in West Virginia, 7 years ago. Stacy and I haven't gotten together for about 9 years. AND It's been 16 years since the three of us were all together!!!
Stacy is studying for her paralegal degree, and is living in Bel-Air with her three teenage daughters, Amanda, Amber and Ashley (below).
Laura is preparing to move from Frostburg, MD to Tennessee. Her husband is looking forward to starting his new job in Kentucky.
With six kids, Laura is quite busy at home! (Laura and Timothy, above)
Laura's oldest son, Josh, spent the day at the seminary in Emmitsburg. (From left to right, Luke, Emma, Laura, Timothy, Allison, Peter, and Todd... Phew!)
It was great getting together! Short, but very sweet! I love you guys, always!

Ephesians 3:14-19

"For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen."
